Bonding, sealing and beautifying 3D printed parts is reality

Our PolyJet 3D printed models provide smooth surface and fine feature details right out of the printer. Finishes are completed with the use of off-the-shelf acrylic paints and lacquers, making it more user-friendly for our customers.FDM Technology allows printing in production-grade thermoplastics which is great if the end product requires sanding, drilling, gluing or painting. The various processes that can be attempted with 3D Printers include:

  • Bead blasting: An inexpensive and quick method that can impart a certain pattern or finish without the use of sandpaper, fillers or solvents. Bead blasting an FDM part takes only a few minutes and uses Plastic blast media (PMB), a recycled material made of finely reground thermoplastics. The process also preserves a part’s quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Bonding and gluing:
  • Electroplating
  • Mass finishing
  • Painting
  • PPSF finishing
  • Sealing FDM parts
  • Smoothing FDM parts
